Fields of Hope Counselling
Victims Services Counselling
Approved online counselling for eligible victims of crime in NSW, funded through Victims Services.
Why This Matters
Experiencing a violent crime can affect every part of life: sleep, relationships, work, and sense of safety. Counselling offers a confidential space to process what happened and begin to recover, without the added strain of worrying about cost.
Delaney Chow is an approved Victims Services counsellor, providing trauma-informed counselling to eligible victims of crime, delivered entirely online so support stays accessible regardless of location or mobility.
How Funding Works
Counselling under this scheme is funded directly by Victims Services NSW, covering the cost of your sessions on your behalf. Once you're approved, there's no out-of-pocket cost for you. Approved support is typically up to 22 hours, with provision for Victims Services to extend this in exceptional circumstances, including for victims of child sexual abuse or child abuse.
To be clear about how this works: approval and funding sit entirely with Victims Services, separate from this practice. You'll need to apply to Victims Services directly and receive written approval (a Counselling Approval Letter) before your first funded session, which the sections below walk through.
Who's Eligible
You may be eligible if you experienced, witnessed, or were injured by a violent crime in NSW, including sexual assault, domestic or family violence, physical assault, or modern slavery. You can apply without a police report, charge, or conviction. Eligible categories include primary victims, secondary victims such as witnesses or close family, and family members of someone who died as a result of crime.
Victims Services determines eligibility directly, so for full criteria and to check your own situation, visit the official Victims Services NSW page.
