The RISE UP Model
The Six Supervisory Spaces
Layered onto this is Hewson and Carroll's model of the six supervisory spaces — Reflective, Directive, Evaluative, Passive, Restorative, and Active. Rather than applying a single style regardless of what's needed, this model allows supervision to move fluidly between modes — matching how support is given to what the moment actually calls for.
Individual vs Group Supervision
Individual Supervision
Depth and privacy — the space for the case that feels too exposing to bring to peers, at the pace that suits your specific caseload.
Group Supervision
Multiple perspectives, the relief of shared experience, and genuine professional community. Capped at 6 supervisees.

PACFA Clinical Member
Supervision hours count toward ACA, PACFA, AASW, and other professional body requirements.
