Supervision of supervision (SoS) supports experienced counselling supervisors to reflect on and strengthen their own supervisory practice. Where clinical supervision focuses on the counsellor-client relationship, SoS turns that same reflective lens onto the supervisor-supervisee relationship, helping you supervise with more confidence, clarity, and accountability.

One-to-one sessions offering focused, confidential space to explore your supervisory relationships, ethical dilemmas, and professional development as a supervisor. Ideal if you want depth and continuity with a consistent SoS supervisor.
Group SoS
$80 per person / 120 min · groups of 3 to 6
Small-group sessions bringing the added benefit of peer perspective: a collaborative space to compare approaches, normalise common supervisory challenges, and learn from others' experience, alongside the same reflective depth as individual sessions.

Who is SoS suitable for?
SoS is for qualified, practising counselling or psychotherapy supervisors. If you're a practising counsellor without supervisory responsibilities, standard clinical supervision is the better fit.
What's the difference between individual and group SoS?
Individual SoS is a private 1:1 session focused entirely on your supervisory practice. Group SoS brings together a small group of supervisors (typically 3 to 6) for a shared session, offering peer learning alongside individual reflection. Both are available, and many supervisors use a mix of both.
How often should I attend SoS?
This varies by individual need and any requirements set by your professional body. Many supervisors attend monthly or quarterly; we can help you work out a suitable schedule during your first session.
Does SoS count towards my professional body's requirements?
Both PACFA and ACA require accredited supervisors to receive their own ongoing supervision, and SoS is a recognised way of meeting that need: PACFA's College of Supervision has run dedicated SoS training for its Accredited Supervisors. Since neither body has a single, formal SoS policy, we recommend checking your specific membership category or speaking with your professional body if you need SoS sessions to count toward a particular requirement.
